Working on keyboard has always been faster than working with mouse . We cant do all our work with mouse but we can do most of our computer work with keyboard . A lot of time gets waisted while moving the hand from keyboard to mouse and vice versa . You can work faster and can do everything just by hitting keys on keyboard . Below are some very useful windows 7 keyboard shortcuts which will definitely increase your productivity .
1. Ctrl+Shift+N
Creates a new folder in the current directory where you are in , and the word New Folder is automatically highlighted for the new name .
2. Alt+Arrow Keys
Alt+ arrow keys (left and right ) can be used to move forward and backward one page at a time on a web-browser . Alt+up arrow can be used to move up a level in any folder or directory.
3. Shit+Right Click
Pressing shift key while right clicking displays some hidden options like ‘pin to start menu’ that lets you pin files directly to start menu without the need to drag and drop . Another useful option is copy as path that lets you copy the path of the file . You can also use ‘open command prompt here ‘ if you like to work with command line .
4. Alt+P
Alt+P lets you toggle file preview window on and off . This is a quite time saving feature that lets you preview the content of the file in a thumbnail image .
5. Win+ Number keys
Much of our useful applications are pinned to task bar . You can use windows and number keys to launch these applications for example pressing win+1 will launch the 1st application pinned to task bar and win+2 will launch the 2nd one . Using Shift+Win+number will launch a new instance of that application . Using Ctrl + Win + Number will cycle through open instances of that application .
6. Win+B
Apart from Taskbar some of our applications are located on system tray ( left of taskbar) . Hitting Win+B will take you to the system try and then you can use arrow keys to launch the application .
7. Win+(+/-)
Using Win key in conjunction with the plus and minus key will launch the magnifier which you can use to zoom in or zoom out the entire display .
8. Win+X
Hitting Win+X will launch the windows mobile center , providing quick access to tools and settings that notebook users need the most.
9, Win+ Arrows
Win+ up arrow maximizes the current window . Win+ down arrow minimizes the current window . Win+ left arrow moves the current window to the right half of the screen , if the window is already docked right it is restored to original size . Similarly Win+right arrow works .
10 Other useful Win + keys
Win+ D : opens desktop
Win+M : Minimizes all windows
Win+shift+M : Restores all minimized windows to desktop .
Win+ E : Opens My computer
Win+L : Locks your computer
Win+R : Open run dialog box
You don’t need to remember the above shortcut keys just use them few times and you will get them automatically .

I second. Shit + Right click == Right click with an aroma therapy.
#1, Ctrl+N will not create the new folder instead it will open a new window.
To create a new folder in current directory, use Ctrl+Shift+N
