Recently phone hacking was in news in UK . A new android virus is discovered that is capable of recording your voice . This virus is discovered by CA Technologies it targets android phones and is capable of recording a user’s phone conversations.
It appears the virus can only be installed if the Android device owner clicks the “install” button on a message that looks strikingly similar to the installation screens of legitimate applications.. It loads itself onto the android device and adds remote server configuration file.Every time a user places a phone call, the Trojan records the conversation and saves it to an AMR file on the phone’s SD card which then could be accessed by the attacker .
As the number of smartphone users increasing day by day I think the mobile phone will be a target for the future time because attackers can get more sensitive information. Users often save their bank account number, important emaild ids and other sensitive information in mobiles. Recently I have read an article ’8 major malware attacks on android platform’. Initially everybody used to blame Microsoft regarding security feature in their Windows OS and appreciate Linux. Now everybody knows that Android is getting popularity, there are more news of attack on Android. Now its time for Google to win consumer’s faith and introduce high security features.
