You forgot wuala I guess. Encrypted before sending, no way for the storage provider to decrypt it on its own if you don’t make your folder / files public. And they don’t store your password anywhere.
@Dev i don’t think so…? :O

For huge amounts of data, you might want to use Amazon’s S3 together with a third party app such as Arq.
This is so great thanks for sharing and for multiple computer backups on a single account i think Safecoopy backup would be better
i actually needed to backup my data as i m ing to format my pc thanx for sharing this data
Its really a useful information for who worried about their data protection. hope you missed to review iDrive, carbonite and SOS online backup in this list.
The names you have mentioned does not provide any free service so I decided to skip them
Genie9 (formerly Genie-soft) provides a very easy to use Free backup product that works a lot like Apple’s Time Machine. It does near continuous backup, which is basically what Mozy and Carbonite currently do, to a local drive instead of online. It provides you the option to updgrade to their Home product, which provides the full disaster recovery feature, but the Free version does provide full file based protection. You can find the download Genie Timeline Free at their website http://www.genie9.com. There will also be an online backup version to the cloud coming out in the near term.
Excellent sharing Abhishek. These tools are really great. But iDrive and others should also be included in the list of free data bakcup services. I’d like you to see this list of 12 free services:

I purchased a Hitachi external drive and rec’d the free cloud backup. Really simple and if you need more cloud storage they only charge $49 for a year (250GB). Great deal thanks for sharing your find.
Overstated Dave, as others have pointed out. If you only put your vital data into one company’s hands, then that’s problem #1. If that company fails to have redundant data strategies, as Amazon did, then that’s problem #2. Problems can arise with any technology, offline backups or paper can go up in a fire/Earthquake/Tsunami/you name it. True disaster recovery plans for these types of things, but saying that an entire technology is invalid and “dead” for a particular use just because of particularly poor planning on some companies’ parts is overkill.
The study shows the same trend as this cloud computing infographic.
This update is what Adobe users and cloud computing enthusiasts have been waiting for at least in the past 5 months since it was announced in early October 2011.
