The consumer electronic shows CES 2013 is going at Las Vegas. Its showcasing some of the best gadgets that we are going to see in 2013. Here are some of the best laptops and ultrabook that have been unveiled so far in the CES 2013.
1. Samsung Series 7 Ultra
This is a 13.3 inch ultrabook with full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution 10 point touch display screen. The screen supports 178 degree viewing angle, that means you will be able to view things fine on the screen in any position. It comes with the option of Core i5 and i7 processor with RAM up to 16 GB. There is an AMD HD8570M graphics card with 1GB of RAM.
For connectivity it has one USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 hubs, LAN and a slim security port. It also has SSD storage of up to 256 GB. This laptop is very thin and measures 324 x 224 x 18.9mm and weighs just 1.65 kg. The battery backup is up to 8 hours which is quite decent. Samsung has not yet reveled the pricing of Series 7 Ultra.
2. Lenovo ThinkPad Helix
Lenovo Thinkpad Helix is a convertible laptop with rips and flips function. That means this ultrabook can be used as a tablet as well. It has 11.6 inch screen with full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution with 10 point multi touch support. This convertible laptop comes with third generation Intel Core i processors(up to i7), 8 GB DDR RAM and 256 GB SSD.
For connectivity there are two USB 3.0 ports, an RJ45 connector, mini-Display Port and mini-HDMI. The Helix is also built for the mobile lifestyle with the option of 3G and 4G support, as well as NFC. Other features include the new glass ClickPad, spill-resistant keyboard and dual high definition 1080p Webcams. The Lenovo ThinkPad Helix will be available in late-February and start from US$1,499.
3. LG Z360 ultrabook
LG showcased its presence at CES 2013 with Z360 ultrabook. LG’s Z360 ultrabook has 13.3 inch 1080p IPS panel. It measures 13.6mm and weighs just 1.5KG, that’s almost lighter than 11 inch MacBook Air. The screen currently does not supports touch input, but it is expected to have by the official market launch The Z360 series ultrabook are powered by Intel’s fourth generation processor. The standard configuration comes with Core i5 processor, but there will be options for Core i3 and Core i7 too. The 4th Gen. processor allows this ultrabook to cold boot in just eight seconds. For connectivity it has micro SD, HDMI, ethernet and USB ports. LG hasn’t announced its pricing and release date.
4. Acer Aspire S7
Acer displayed the updated version of Aspire s7 ultrabook that comes with 13.3 inch touchscreen display. The new Aspire s7 will have 2,560×1,440 touchscreen panel.This is the highest resolution so far in any Windows based laptop. This ultra-book will be powered by Intel core i7 processor. Its incredibly thin ( 2.9 lb) and light. Acer didn’t revealed the specifications, pricing and launching details, but it is expected to cost in 4 digits.
5. HP Paviliion Touchbook Sleekbook
HP Pavilion Touchbook sleekbook is powered by AMD A series CPU. It comes with 6 GB of memory which can be expanded up to 8 GB and 1 TB of hard drive. The Pavilion Touchbook Sleekbook has a 15.6-inch 1,366 x 768 resolution touch capable screen for interacting with Windows 8 It features True visions HD webcam, HP cool sense for temperature regulation and HP protect smart for data protection. For connectivity it has HDMI, both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports.The details about the dimensions were not released. This sleekbook is expected to available in the market by Feb.
