How to Enable Google+ Comments on Blogger

Step 1 Connecting Blogger Profit to Google+

If your blogger profile is already connected to Google plus you can skip this step. To connect you profile visit your Blogger dashboard and check the Google+ tab. From there you can connect your blogger profile to Google+

Step 2 Enabling Google+ Comments Navigate to Blogger dashboard

Chose your blog. Click the Google+ tab and check the box saying “Use Google+ comments on this Blog. That’s all and you are done.

Enabling Google+ Comments on WordPress

The easiest way to install Google Plus comment on WordPress blog is through plugins.  You can download Enable Google+ Comments , WordPress plugin  Note that this will remove the default WordPress comment system. If you don’t like using WordPress Plugins, you can install it manually by placing the below code in the comment.php file

There is no recycle bin or Trash kind of folder in blogger which could help you to recover deleted blogger posts  .The recovery method is based on finding the copy of your post . There are two places from where you can find the copy of your posts .

1. From your blog feeds:  If you are following your blogs feed then you can easily get the copies of your blog posts through Google reader or any other  feed reader you use .

2. Cached Copies from Google : Google keeps a cached copy of your blog posts  . You can access such copies by searching

site:yourblogurl

The above search query will list all the blog posts indexed by Google .

At this point you can get back your posts by copying them from the feeds or the cached copy and then publishing them back . The drawback of this is that you wont be able to recover the comments on the posts and also the permalink won’t be preserved . To recover the posts with comments we have to go a step further .

Open any post from the cache that you want to recover completely . Hit ctrl+u or right click and select view source.  At the page source, press keys ctrl+F and search for “postID”,  copy the post id then go to Dashboard, click Edit posts and then click on any of the Edit of any post to bring up the post editor. After doing this, you will have in the address bar that will be something like in the screen shot below (with the postID highlighted):

Replace that postID with the postID of the accidentally deleted post and press the ENTER key. The post editor will change with the content of the accidentally deleted post in the post editor. Now all you need to do is to click PUBLISH and your post will get recovered with the comments and original permalink .

You can get it by going to your Google+ page . In the URL of your page you will find the page ID as marked in the below picture .

The easiest way to install Google Plus page badge on your wordpress blog is by using a plugin . You can download Google Plus Badge Direct Connect plugin or you can just add it from your wordpress dashboard . After you have activated the plugin , go to ‘Appearence–> widget’  menu . From there you can drag it to place it at your desired location in your blog . You can also adjust its settings from there .

The use of more plugins is not favorable for the speed of your wordpress blog . You can install Google plus badge manually also . For this go to the Google+ platform developers page . Select your style and generate the code . The code will have two parts . It will be similar to the below code .

Now copy the second part of the code where you want to display the badge . You can place it either by using the text widget or you can paste the code directly in sidebar.php file wherever you want to display the badge .

Installing Google Plus Badge on Blogger Blog

Go to the Google+ platform developers page . Select your style and generate the code . The code will have two parts .From you blogger dashboard go the ‘Design’ page and click on edit html , then place the first part of the code before </head> and save it .

Then go the the page element tab and click on ‘Add a Gadget’ where you want to install the badge . Select the html/javascript gadget and place the second part of the code and save it , google+ page badge will then appear on your blogger blog .

Adding Google +1 Button on Blogger

Step 1. Generate your customized Google +1 button code or use the below code  .

Step 2. Go to your blogger dashboard  click on your blog and go to design .

Step 3.  Click on ‘ add a gadget’  where you are interested to put the button and select html/javascript

If you wish to display the +1 button just after the post title then go to the design –>edit html and then check expand  widget  and paste the following code just before <data:post.body/> .
