College students of Mumbai can now buy Aakash tablet at an even more lower price , almost at a 50 % discount. Aakash which is sold for Rs 2500 , will now be available to Mumbai students for just Rs. 1,138 , which is nearly half than the market price .
Discount offer will be made available to 100 varsities , including Mumbai University . As reported by TimesofIndia ,Rajpal Hande, director, board of college and university development, said, “We have issued circulars to all affiliated colleges and departments. They have to get back to us with their requirements. We are hoping that students will avail of the facility as they are getting it at almost a 50% discount. I am also told an improved version of the Aakash tablet will be launched in February, so the students might get an upgraded version.
