Nokia is struggling hard to regain its position of top mobile phone manufacturer from Apple and Samsung. Last year Nokia launched cheap Asha phones which performed quite well in the budget phone segment, Nokia has added three touchscreen handsets to its Asha line of phones The Nokia Asha 305, 306, and 311
These Asha phones are the company’s cheapest full-length touchscreen phone. The Asha 311 dual SIM phone features a 1-GHz processor, 3.5G Internet capabilities, and a 3.2-megapixel camera, it comes pre-loaded with 15 levels of Angry Birds. It has 256MB of memory, expandable up to 32GB via a micro-SD card. Asha 311 may carry a price tag of 92 euros (about Rs 6,360).
The Asha 305 includes a 2-megapixel camera, as well as Nokia’s “Easy Swap dual SIM,” which allows you swap out SIM cards in case more than one person is using the device. Its sister phone, the Asha 306, is a single SIM model, with the addition of video streaming. Both have 64MB of memory, expandable up to 32GB. Asha 305 is expected to be about 63 euros (about Rs 4,350) while Asha 306 could be priced about 68 euros (about Rs 4,700).
These Asha touch phones will be competing with Samsung Star and Champ. Nokia has lost a big share to competitors like Apple and Samsung in the smartphone segment, hope these Asha phones will help nokia to increase its share in budget phone category.

In a recent survey I have come to know that Nokia is performing very well in dual sim phone market and I hope these phones to be a success too.
When Indian companies and samsung are providing low cost dual sim android phones , nokia should do something good to compete with them
Hello author, these ASHA phones must be on Symbian, can you please also tell us which version? There is one disappointing stuff with aforementioned ASHA phones, they all have only 10MB phone memory, I am sure phones will hang a lot. I have a very bad experience with Nokia C2-03, I don’t know why Nokia isn’t learning from their mistakes.
yes it runs on Symbian S40 OS
