Social Media Opposes Sachin Tendulkar Rajya Sabha Entry




Congress party recently nominated Sachin Tendulkar to rajya sabha . Sachin’s entry into politics is surprising for his millions of fans .There are mixed kind of reaction on his rajya sabha entry not just in the political world but also in the social media as well  . Many people are are terming it as a political ploy by the Congress party.

On social media networks like Twitter and Facebook it seems like people are not happy with Sachin’s entry in to politics through rajya sabha on congress ticket . In just two days after this news Sachin Tendulkar has lost around 1.2 lakhs followers on twitter . #unfollowsachin has been the most trending tag in India on twitter .  Twitter is buzzing with calls, for and against the #unfollowsachin trend; with message pouring in at the rate of over 100 tweets per 10 minutes.

The chief minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar tweeted- “ #UnfollowSachin still trending on twitter & I still believe 95% of them have nothing to do with hatred toward Sachin but towards Congress.

“I have unfollowed Sachin. He has become part of corruption now,” read one of the tweets.

One tweet sums the entire episode, “@sachin_rt U should’ve joined politics but not Sonia Gandhi, who is hated by the nation. Hence #UnfollowSachin. U’ve let down Indians.”

There is Sachin’s protest on facebook as well , There are lots of opposing comments on Sachin Tendulkar facebook page having 5.9 million likes . You can find lots of comments like this on his page .
